Medical disclaimer

Free BP Tracker is for information and record-keeping only. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not replace advice from your GP, nurse, pharmacist or another healthcare professional.

The bands shown next to your readings come from official UK guidance, but a single reading cannot diagnose high or low blood pressure. If you are being treated for blood pressure, follow the advice your healthcare professional gave you.

Who this is not designed for

Like the NHS's own blood pressure checker, the categories here are not designed for you if you:

  • are under 18
  • are pregnant (see blood pressure in pregnancy)
  • have a condition or take medicines that affect your blood pressure
  • have recently had surgery or an injury
  • feel unwell with new symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, headache or chest pain

In an emergency

If you have a very high reading with symptoms such as confusion, blurry vision, chest pain, a fast or pounding heartbeat or breathlessness, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent advice, call 111. When to get help
